How we work.
The operating model behind every Reactit engagement. Three phases, one principle: the team that designs the system is the team that runs it.
A short essay on how the work is done.
We staff every engagement with the engineers who will eventually operate the system. The hand-over is the brief, from day one.
A typical engagement runs in three phases — Discovery, Build, On Call. Each phase has a written exit criterion. We do not move to the next phase until the previous one has been signed off by the client.
We work in shared repositories with the client team. The architecture decisions are documented as they are made. Postmortems are joint. The runbook lives in the same place as the code.
Three rules we will not break.
Production-first
No demos, no slide decks. Every deliverable is in production or it doesn’t exist.
Shared operations
The team that ships it is the team that runs it. No silent hand-offs to a third party.
Reversible cutovers
Every change is instrumented and reversible. We do not do big-bang rebuilds.
