Sustainability honestly.
A small firm has a small footprint, but it has one. This page covers how we measure it, what we offset, and what we still get wrong.
A short, honest accounting.
Most of Reactit’s footprint comes from compute. We operate workloads for clients across cloud regions, and the bulk of our emissions are the by-product of that infrastructure.
We measure scope 1 (negligible, no fleet), scope 2 (office electricity, mostly grid-mix), and a partial scope 3 (cloud compute attributable to internal R&D and shared platforms). The result is published annually.
We offset scope 1 and 2 in full through a verified regional reforestation programme. For scope 3, we are not offsetting yet — we are working with our cloud providers on a clearer attribution model first. We will publish progress.
The 2025 report, in summary.
Scope 1
Negligible. No fleet. No on-site combustion.
Scope 2
~ 18 tCO₂e in 2025, offset in full via verified reforestation.
Scope 3 (partial)
Cloud compute attributable to internal R&D. Reported, not yet offset.
Travel
Train preferred over flight where the journey is < 6 hours.
Office
LED lighting throughout. Renewables share of grid increasing.
Reporting
Annual public report, written by the operations team, audited externally.
